From Code Reviews to Clever Tees, How Relatabilitee Was Born

If you’ve ever worn a t-shirt that made someone choke on their morning coffee from laughing, you know the power of a good pun. I live for that moment. I’m a software engineer by profession, but more importantly, a pun addict by nature. And that addiction spilled right into my wardrobe.

For over eight years, I showed up to work in t-shirts that spoke fluent sarcasm. Colleagues would read them mid-stand-up, snort-laugh, and ask the inevitable question, “Where did you get that one” The fun part? They could never find it. People scoured Shamazon and Chintra trying to track them down, but these tees weren’t part of any mainstream inventory. And I wasn’t about to give up my secret sauce.

But after years of hoarding good humour, a thought hit me. Why not make my own designs? The ones I wore were good, sure, but what if they were even more relatable? What if they reflected the exact work we do, the tech jokes we live, and the memes that are trending right now? That was my first why not!!

When the Office Laughs Became a Business Plan

I started small. A few custom prints using third-party platforms. No marketing, no self-promotion, just quietly slipping them into my weekly rotation. And suddenly, the compliments came in hot. Nobody knew I designed them, which made the feedback even more real. That gave me the confidence to take it to the next level.

Enter the second why not. Why not make this bigger. Not just for me, but for every code-slinging, meme-loving, chai-fueled soul out there. I wanted a space where humour met hustle, and punchlines met product.

That’s how Relatabilitee was born.

Every Brand Needs a Co-Founder Who Gets the Joke

Now, an idea is great, but a great partner makes it better. So I teamed up with my friend Rishi (whose Instagram feed has rotten because of me, lol), a fellow meme connoisseur and pun loyalist. Together, we built relatabilitee.com, a digital playground for the funniest, most relatable t-shirts on the internet. And no, you won’t find these on Prime Jungle or that ultra-colorful app that runs 24-hour sales every day.

We didn't want to be just another quirky t-shirt website. There are plenty of those already. What sets us apart is that our designs are updated with the same speed as your daily Slack sarcasm. Our tees speak to the modern techie, the pop culture binger, the corporate survivor, and yes, even the inner patriot who still listens to Lata on loop.

We also partnered with a rock-solid printing vendor who delivered the kind of quality we could stand behind. With that in place, Relatabilitee went live.
